Pastors

Senior Pastor

Brian & Judy Lynch

Pastor Brian and Judy Lynch have pastored the Abundant Life Community Church since 1995, after serving as Assistant Pastors for five years in a Carthage, NY church.

After accepting Christ Jesus as Lord in 1980, Pastor Brian followed God’s call upon his life to shepherd God’s people and teach the fundamental principles of God’s Word.  He received biblical instruction at Christ for the Nations Institute of Biblical Studies and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Newburgh Theological Seminary.

Pastor Brian’s passions are:

  1. Establish the church as a strong and relevant Christian witness in the community

  2. To lovingly care for the people of the church and community

  3. To train and disciple believers to serve in the ministry of the church and beyond.

His wife, Judy, is also an integral part of the pastoral ministry in the church, and plays a significant role in ministry through practical teaching and wise counsel.  Together, Pastor Brian and Judy have raised three children, an adopted daughter, and have eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Associate Pastor

Jeff  & Kathy Moore

Jeff and Kathy Moore are founding members of the Abundant Life Community Church and are both lifelong residents of the Camden area.

After accepting Jesus Christ as Savior in September of 1980, they both became involved in youth ministry and church leadership of the denominational church they attended at the time.  As they continued to seek God’s will for their lives, there was a growing dislike for the liberal doctrine the church was adopting. In 1991, Jeff and Kathy, along with a handful of other believers, became the core group of believers that would make up the founding of the Abundant Life Community Church.

In May 2002, Jeff was licensed as a minister of the gospel and currently serves as an Associate Pastor.

Jeff and Kathy have a daughter and two grandchildren.

Associate Pastor

Tom & Kelly Bushey

Pastor Tom serves as an Associate Pastor with Abundant Life Community Church with his wife Kelly, and have grown to become key leaders since being with the church since the year 2000.

After becoming radically saved in 1981, Tom and Kelly pioneered a church plant in Carthage, NY in 1986, serving there until 1995.  They continued serving the body of Christ in Camden with their genuine compassion for people and a bold faith for God working in the lives of His people.

Tom and Kelly have 5 children, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

OUR CHURCH VISION

From a global perspective, the church (His body) is in the world today to accomplish His purpose. However, each local church throughout the world has a particular calling and purpose, making it unique in its functions of ministry much like the parts of the human body differ in form and function (1 Cor. 12: 12-26). As the pastor for a local assembly receives insight and vision into God's specific calling and vision for that body, the church must begin to move toward fulfilling God's call.

With God's help, we believe God has called ALCC to accomplish these goals:

  • Loving Witnesses: To establish a body of believers as a strong Christian witness to this community and surrounding area, emphasizing a love for God above all things in this world, and to love all people above ourselves as taught by Jesus Christ. (Matt. 5:16/Rom. 12:2/Matt. 22: 37-39)

  • Evangelism: To spread the message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ through personal and practical evangelism. (Rom. 10: 14-15)

  • Discipleship: To train God's people in their individual gifts and callings through personal discipleship and practical ministry in the church. (II Tim. 2:1-2)

  • Missions: To establish an emphasis on local and world missions through the giving of time and finances, and to initiate short missions trips to foreign lands. (Mark 16:15)

It is the goal and mission of Abundant Life Community Church to:

  • Establish the church as a strong Christian witness in the community

  • To lovingly and consistently care for the people of the church and community

  • To train and disciple believers to serve in the ministry of the church and beyond

Our Vision

TENETS OF FAITH

  • It is the church's duty to teach sound biblical doctrine and to equip the believers in their walk with Christ. The believer must also be a student of God's Word through personal study while benefiting from the protection of local church covering from "every wind of doctrine." In subscribing to become a member of Abundant Life Community Church, you should review and be in agreement with the church's tenets of faith listed below.

  • The Holy Scriptures - we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, upon which we should build every aspect for our lives. II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:20-21

  • The Eternal Godhead - we believe the Godhead is a trinity, which consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Gen. 1:26, Matthew 3:16, John 1:1, John 8:18, Rev. 1:5-6

  • Jesus Christ - we believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, atoning death , bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father. We also believe in Christ's personal coming again the second time for the Church. I Timothy 3:16, Luke 1:26-35, I John 2:2, Acts 1:9-11, Acts 2:22-24

  • The Plan of Redemption - we believe in the salvation, healing and deliverance of man, being available only through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross, not by individual merit or righteousness. Ephesians 2:5, 8-9, Titus 3:4-7

  • Water Baptism - we believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion for all believers as a means to personal sanctification and an overcoming life. Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:37-39, Acts 8:5-6,12, I Peter 3:21

  • The Spirit Filled Life - we believe in the baptism Holy Spirit as a distinct experience from the New Birth; and that the gifts of the Spirit and His miraculous power are as available today as they were in the early days of the church. We also believe it to be equally essential to have the fruits of the Spirit, so that we do not have power without purity. Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:1-4,38-39, Ephesians 1:13-14, I Cor. 12:4-7,31, I Cor. 14:1,39-40

  • Eternal Life - we believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto eternal life and they that are lost unto eternal punishment. Matthew 25:31-46, II Timothy 4:1, I Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 20:11-15

  • The Great Commission - we believe in evangelistic and missionary fervor, endeavoring to convert the lost in obedience to Christ's Great Commission. Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 19:10, II Peter 3:9

  • Gods' Order For Living - we believe it is essential that we honor God - ordained authority in the home, church, and in civil government. Ephesians 5:21,6:9, Hebrews 13:7,17, I Peter 2:13-17

Our History

Our History

Abundant Life Community Church began meeting regularly on a Saturday evening in the back room of a local restaurant under the oversight of Pastor Dan Tabolt, senior pastor of the Abundant Life Fellowship in Boonville, New York, just 40 miles north of Camden. Pastor Tabolt, a regional member of the North Country Ministers Fellowship in Northern New York, took oversight of this small fellowship of believers, developed its own leadership structure, and eventually helped them incorporate in October of 1994 as the Abundant Life Community Church. In November of that year, they purchased a building and property that became home to the growing church fellowship.

In April of 1995, Pastor Brian Lynch became the first pastor to serve the Abundant Life Community Church. Under Pastor Lynch's leadership, the church grew and enlarged its vision as a vehicle of blessing to the community and region, and made great strides in developing a foundation for future growth by training and equipping others to serve in the ministry of the church. In May of 2002, the church licensed a founding member Jeffrey Moore as a minister of the gospel, who now serves as Associate Pastor in the church.

Though the Abundant Life Community Church is an independent church by design, the need for individual accountability is a matter of high priority both in the scriptures and in the heart of Pastor Brian. Pastor Brian Lynch has been ordained and serves as an elder in the North Country Ministers Fellowship, a ministerial fellowship comprised of pastors of independent, Pentecostal churches throughout Northern New York, since 1994. As the founding pastor and fellow member of the North Country Ministers Fellowship, Pastor Dan Tabolt serves as a pastor and overseer for Pastor Brian and his ministry.

In February of 2006, the ALCC moved to its present location on 86 Mexico Street, in the village of Camden. The newly constructed 15,000+ square foot facility includes the sanctuary, fellowship hall and café, offices, educational wing and a fully equipped gymnasium youth center. The Sgt. Eli Parker Community Youth Center was dedicated in honor of Marine Sgt. Elisha R. Parker, who was killed in action in Iraq on May 4, 2006. Eli and his family have attended ALCC since he was a young boy, and he boldly and unashamedly proclaimed Jesus Christ as Lord in his life. The Youth Center operates as an outreach to the youth of the community through the church's youth ministry G.Y.M (God Youth Movement) program.

The need to train and develop laborers is great and will continue to be a focal point of the church's vision. By God's grace, the Abundant Life Community Church continues to grow and make an impact in the lives of many throughout the surrounding communities, and with God's help, will move on to the larger vision set before them in the years to come. "FOR WITH GOD, NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE." Mathew 17:20
